TL;DR
The salon is where the cosmetic flags happen. Hair, makeup, nails, and waxing all live here — and unlike clothes (which you can swap in seconds at the wardrobe), salon results stick for days or permanently.
The four big flag changes:
has_long_hair— grow it out (Patreon: hormones accelerate). Permanent until a haircut undoes it.has_makeup_on— applied each salon visit; lasts one in-game day, decays overnight.nail_tier— 0 (none) → 1 (clear) → 2 (painted) → 3 (extensions). Permanent until removed.hair_removed— body wax. Permanent.
Services
Hair

Makeup
Applied during the visit, sets has_makeup_on = true for the day. Visible in mirror beats and most NPC dialogue. Sarah, Master, and bar regulars all react to whether you’re made up.
Practice at home via the vanity hotspot once you’ve had the salon walk-through. Home makeup is the same flag for less money but a lower polish.
Nails
Four tiers: bare, clear coat, painted, extensions. Each tier is a separate stat (nail_tier). Higher tiers unlock specific dialogue lines from NPCs who notice nails (Sarah especially — see Sarah).
Waxing
Body-hair removal. One-time service. Sets hair_removed = true, permanent until you actively let it grow back (which the game doesn’t model — assume it’s permanent). Sarah notices this immediately the next time she touches you.
Why it’s separate from the Spa
The Spa handles wellness (energy, Arousal, massage). The Salon handles appearance (lasting cosmetic flags). Two different hubs, sometimes confused.
Tips
Makeup is daily — don't over-pay
has_makeup_on decays overnight. Doing a $30 salon makeup every day burns money fast. Pick up the home vanity routine after the first salon walk-through.
Long hair vs wig
The wig gives you has_long_hair appearance during scenes but it’s not the real flag. Some dialogue branches check has_long_hair strictly — those won’t fire on wig-only. If you want the deep long-hair content, do the grow-out program.
Painted nails are one-way
The nail tier raises easily; removing it is harder (requires a specific “remove” service or growing it out over days). Plan ahead — once Sarah sees painted nails she expects them.
