TL;DR

The office route is a slow burn. You start in the mailroom, climb through four corporate tiers, and reach personal assistant. In parallel, Hartwell runs a five-stage encounter chain that escalates from a steadying touch to after-hours private sessions.

Two stat tracks run side by side:

  • office_stage (0-4) — your role at the firm. Earned via shift work.
  • office_boss_stage (0-5) — the private dynamic with Hartwell. Earned via boss-encounter scenes.

How to get hired

Interview

Office_Interview fires from Office once you’ve gathered enough Femininity (gate varies by outfit you arrive in). There are two interview tracks:

  • Standard interview (Office_Interview_Sit, _Negotiate, _Accept) — feminine outfit.
  • Suit interview (Office_Interview_Suit_*) — masculine outfit, the parallel male office route. Different dialogue, different progression flags.

Accept and you’re hired into the mailroom (office_stage = 1).

The four corporate stages

office_stage is gated by shift count + femininity thresholds. Each step unlocks new event variants in Office_Hub.

Stage Role Unlocks
1 Mailroom Basic shift work, Rachel lunch event, Derek copy room
2 Reception Client meetings, dress code event
3 Junior staff Performance reviews, supply closet
4 Personal assistant Direct Hartwell access, after-hours work

The five-stage boss encounter chain

office_boss_stage runs in parallel. Each is one-shot; you’ll see each scene exactly once.

Stage 1. Touch.

A steadying hand on the shoulder during a presentation. Easy to dismiss. The first sign he’s watching you specifically.

Stage 2. Close Call.

Almost-caught moment, usually in a copy room or break area. Plausible deniability for both of you.

Stage 3. Closed Door.

He calls you to his office. The door shuts. No more deniability.

Stage 4. Under Desk.

Private service during a client call. Highest-risk in-office scene.

Stage 5. After Hours.

The office is empty. No pretext. The full encounter.

After the chain

Three intermediate one-shots fire between or after the main chain:

  • office_boss_late — staying late, a different kind of late.
  • office_boss_dinner — out of the office, in a restaurant booth.
  • office_boss_hotel — overnight, the deepest commitment scene.

Then the repeating content kicks in via office_boss_repeat_cycle (3 variants):

  • Desk — the office returns to recurring service scenes.
  • Car — picks you up after work.
  • Penthouse — his private space.

Tips and gotchas

Suit route is a separate parallel path

If you walk into the interview in a suit (masculine outfit + wearing_suit), the Suit interview tracks fork the route. Different dialogue, different progression flags, no boss-NSFW arc.

The chain advances on shifts, not days

office_boss_stage advances when specific in-shift events fire, not on day-rollover. You need to work shifts (not just visit the office) to push the boss chain forward.
