TL;DR

master_intensity is a one-of-four switch set in the character editor. It picks the dominant’s role for the entire run:

Intensity Role What that means
0 Independent No Master. The apartment is yours.
1 Roommate Soft. Suggestions, panty hints, almost-friendly nudges.
2 Landlord Default. Rent leverage. Pushes through compliance.
3 Owner Hardest. Curfew, morning inspections, full surveillance.

The first time you meet the Master is Master_FirstNotice in Master.ink. It only fires at intensity 1+. On Independent it never plays. On Roommate/Landlord/Owner the scene is the same — the tone deepens with intensity, and the follow-up gates change.

Master_FirstNotice (the entry scene)

Fires from the apartment dispatcher when:

  • master_intensity >= 1
  • A short Day gate (varies by intensity tier, see below)
  • master_intro_done == false

The scene introduces {MasterName} as your apartment’s other resident. He notices something about you — body language, the way you sit, a softness you haven’t been performing — and lets you know that he noticed. The choice grid at the end is the first fork:

  • Acknowledge / soften → routes to Master_SubtlePush (the next gate).
  • Brush off / harden → routes to Master_FirstNotice_Resist. Postpones the arc; doesn’t end it.

master_intro_done = true is set either way. The scene is one-shot.

The intensity tiers in detail

Intensity 0 — Independent.

There is no Master. MasterName defaults exist in Globals but no scene ever references them on this path. The apartment is rented from a property manager who’s an off-screen contact. Rent still applies via the standard rent timer; nobody collects it in person.

This is the route to Ending 2 (Independent).

Intensity 1 — Roommate.

You share the apartment. He’s a friend-of-a-friend who let you take the spare bedroom for a reduced rent. The “Master” framing is metaphorical — he’s not your owner, he’s the older guy at the table with opinions about how you should present yourself.

Intro tone: noticing, curiosity, soft questions. The first morning check fires on a low Fem threshold and is more “have you thought about” than “wear this”.

Routes hardest scenes (Inspection, Punishment) are gated by master_intensity >= 2; they don’t fire here.

Intensity 2 — Landlord (default).

He owns the place; you rent. Rent leverage is the lever. He doesn’t outright command, but he applies pressure through gentle reminders (“the panty drawer’s still empty”), and the Bar_Order arc on this route uses pay-cuts as the carrot/stick.

Intro tone: appraising, transactional. The morning checks start earlier than Roommate, and missing them costs MR.

Intensity 3 — Owner.

Property of. He picks your clothes, sets your curfew, and runs morning inspections at Master Relationship 4+. The Bar_Order scenes use direct commands. The Allowance system (his money, his rules) is unique to this tier.

Intro tone: assumed authority from sentence one. The Curfew Violation, Morning Inspection, and Punishment scenes are all intensity-3 gated.

What follows

After Master_FirstNotice, the scene chain progresses through:

  1. Master_SubtlePush — first explicit ask (panties, a soft hint).
  2. Master_PantiesHint / Master_PantiesAcquire — first feminine gate.
  3. Master_MorningCheck — the recurring morning beat starts firing (intensity 2+).
  4. Intensity-gated scenes — Curfew, Inspection, Bar_Order series, Private Encounters.

By Day 14-21 the arc reaches its first real branch point in Master_PrivateEncounter.

Tips and gotchas

You can't switch intensity mid-run

master_intensity is set once at character creation. The cheat console (Patreon) can change it, but on a clean save you commit at the editor.

Intensity 0 has its own arc

Independent isn’t “no Master arc”. It’s the Independent arc — self-driven dressing, self-bought chastity, the Sarah discovery tilts harder toward solo decisions. The Master scenes simply don’t fire.
