TL;DR

A night-only four-tile sub-area accessed from Downtown at TimeSlot 2+. The Red Light District is structured as a routing hub: RedLightEntry is the knot, and each tile is a redirect into the actual location’s entry knot (BrothelEntry -> VelvetLounge_Reception, MaidCafeEntry -> MaidCafe_Reception, etc.). Most of the game’s kink-deep content lives here: the Velvet Lounge brothel, the Maid Cafe, the Kitten & Chrome fetish store (which itself gates the Kennel sub-area), and the Tattoo Studio. The Look-around choice is pure flavor with a Fem-50+ “how much?” street-pull line.

How you get here

The Red Light tile lives on the Downtown city map. Walking Downtown at TimeSlot 0-1 shows it disabled (“Opens at evening”). At TimeSlot 2 or later, the tile turns active and is #color:pink to flag the evening nature.

The entry knot’s narration sets the mood: “The neon signs flicker to life as you turn the corner. Pink, purple, red.” Music bleeds from doorways, cigarette smoke from balconies, perfume and bad decisions in the air.

Fem 40+ adds a passing-bouncer beat: a doorman gives you an approving nod (“Looking good tonight”). No stat change, pure ambient acknowledgement.

The four real tiles

RedLightEntry is a thin routing hub. Each tile is a divert to the actual location:

The Tattoo Studio is the only tile that gates on a discovery flag rather than a stat. The other three are visible at every visit, with the Velvet Lounge running its own internal Fem checks on the customer card and the Kitten & Chrome route opening for either kink-curious (Sub 30+) or owned (intensity 2+) players.

Kitten & Chrome (the fetish store)

The fetish store’s full content lives in FetishStore.ink, but the Red Light tile is the only entry point. Inside, the clerk runs a flat-cage upsell and the door behind the velvet curtain gates the Kennel sub-area (the kink-deepest content in the game, gated on Sub 40 + cage owned + Patreon).

Mira is the NPC who runs the back-room introductions. She’s not visible at the curtain on the first visit; you have to walk in, ask about the tiny ones, and then ask about the door.

Look-around (flavor)

RedLight_LookAround is a pure ambient beat:

Massage parlor with blacked-out windows.
Lingerie shop open at midnight.
Bar with no sign, just a red bulb above the entrance.

Fem 50+ adds a man-leaning-against-a-lamppost line (“How much?”). Fem under 50 gets a “nobody pays you much attention” beat. No stat changes, no choices beyond Back.

Tips and gotchas

The district is structural, not a content knot itself

Most of the action happens in the tiles’ own files (VelvetLounge.ink, MaidCafe.ink, FetishStore.ink, TattooStudio.ink). The Red Light District knot is just a wrapper. Don’t grep here for the Vivienne arc or the Kennel content, grep the tile files.

The Sub-30 fetish store gate has a Master fallback

The standard gate is Submissiveness >= 30. The OR clause master_intensity >= 2 lets owned players in earlier, since the Master arc itself drives the kink content. If you’re stuck on a sub-40 Submissiveness run and want the cage upgrades, intensity 2 with the Master gets you through the door.

Locked variants of Maid Cafe and Velvet Lounge route back here

Both MaidCafe_Locked (cafe full) and VelvetLounge_Locked (private event) leave through RedLightEntry, not back to Downtown. This means a “fully booked” cafe at TimeSlot 2 still parks you in the Red Light District, where you can pick another tile. The leave choice from any tile also routes through here.

Quick-travel needs to know it's open

Because the entry gates on TimeSlot 2, the location-map UI in Downtown shows the Red Light tile disabled before evening. The Red Light District itself doesn’t have a quick-travel pin in the Outside / Downtown city UI, you always go through Downtown.
